Our Principal

Ms. Merry C. Ellerbe

School Year 2006-2007

Welcome to East Camden Middle School's Website!  This has been developed to help you learn as much as possible about our school, its staff, activities and services that we offer students.

 IT'S ALL ABOUT OUR STUDENTS!

We are vary pleased to show you our colorful, informative website, and happy to have you interested in our educational process.

Our commitment to students is extremely important.  Middle school is a critical time in our students' lives and it is important to have supports in place to facilitate our young people's step into young adults.  As we all know, THIS IS NO EASY TASK!

As always, I like to look at ECMS in terms of achievement, whether it be academic, social or emotional.  To our teenagers, all of these areas are vital to their development, and necessary in becoming responsible, productive adults.

My ECMS motto is:     We Care About Results Everyday!

Again, Welcome To Our Website!

TEACH ME!

Teach me to see reality and move up in life through dignity.  By saying “no, I can’t do it”.  I am limiting myself from the start.

Teach me to set goals for myself and acquire skills that will help me in the future.  If I don’t have a job I can create one!  A clean mouth, working mind and working hands will take me through any land.

Teach me not to run away from home.  Take time to understand me

Teach me not to follow crowds and do bad things.  If I lie down with dogs I can come up with fleas.

Help me to see that I am special.  I have made my way into the present through my heritage.

Teach me to see that the face on me was meant to be.

Teach me to know that I win.

Which House Do You Live In

"I got two A's," the small boy cried.
His voice was filled with glee.
His father very bluntly asked,
"Why didn't you get three?"
"Mom. I've got the dishes done!"
The girl called from the door.
Her mother very calmly said,
"And did you sweep the floor?"
"I've mowed the grass," the tall boy said,
"And put the mower away!"
His father asked him, with a shrug.
"Did you clean off the clay?"
The children in the house next door
Seem happy and content.
The same things happened over there,
But this is how it went:
"I got two A's," the small boy cried,
His voice was filled with glee.
His father proudly said, "That's great!
I'm glad you live with me!"
"Mom I've got the dishes done!
The girl called from the door.
Her mother smiled and softly said.
"Each day I love you more."
"I've mowed the grass." the tall boy said.
"And put the mower away!"
His father answered with much joy.
"You've made my happy day!"
Children deserve a little praise
For tasks they're asked to do
If they're to lead a happy life.
So much depends on you.
