Compass Learning is one of the district's initiatives, which reinforces skills in the areas of Reading, Math, and Language Arts. Parkside School's staff and students are implementing the distributive model of Compass Learning in both the classroom and a Computer Lab three times a week. Students are given assignments by their teachers which are later assessed to drive classroom instruction. |

Lightspan is a district wide initiative, which allows students the opportunity to utilize Sony Playstations and instructional CD ROM software to supplement and assist them in mastering classroom instruction aligned with the NJCCCS. Parents are given the opportunity to come to the school and sign a contract allowing them to take home a Playstation unit to assist their child with fun, interactive educational activities assigned by the teacher. |
