It is with pride and excitement that I welcome you to the George Washington School website.  We are celebrating ninety-nine years of educating the children of Cramer Hill, in the city of Camden, New Jersey.  I am proud to be a part of the "Wonderful" Washington School team. We provide students with excellent educational opportunities which will enable them to become integral participants of society in the 21st century.

Washington Elementary School emphasizes academic achievement and high expectations for our students. Our Teacher Academy provides our instructional staff with the most current research-based professional development.

We are thrilled to announce that we have achieved Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) by meeting 40 out of 40 indicators under No Child Left Behind for the second year in a row.
