Getting a Family University Learning Session Approved
The Family University vision is that every CCSD family is equipped and empowered to advocate and partner with schools to ensure every child has access to a quality education and achieves excellence in schools.
To get a parent workshop or class approved for Family University, organizations/schools must submit a proposal form, found at any Camden Parent Partnership Center throughout the City. We are looking for classes that fit under our curriculum strands, which are designed for adult learners, and empower parents as teachers, advocates, leaders, and learners, and support them in ways that empower them to be leaders and advocates for student learning, and school improvement.
All parts of each workshop proposal must be included in one document (cover letter, form, and description). Each workshop should come on a separate form, with the exception of a class that has the same content being taught in more than one language. If an organization, or school is proposing to do a workshop in more than one language, one document should be sent indicating the language to be offered.
Classes that fulfill requirements will receive a decision letter.
Proposal Process for Satellite Sessions
Requests must be submitted to CCSD Family University. All proposals must be submitted electronically to no later than the due date indicated. Any extension to this date must receive written approval from Division of Family and Community Engagement.
Once the proposal review process is completed, the CCSD Family University will notify organizations/individuals of the status of proposals by email.
