The Security Department of the Camden City Board of Education consists of 130 officers who receive annual training in areas such as: Passive Restraint Techniques, Crisis Intervention and Prevention, CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens and Handcuffing. Officers help monitor our school's Safe Corridor Program to ensure our children's safe passage to and from schools. All high school, middle school, some elementary schools are equipped with state of the art, 24 hour surveillance video monitoring systems. Our goal is to work together with administrators, teachers, school personnel and parents to provide our students with a safe, nurturing, learning environment. Mission Statement The mission of the Security Department of the Camden City Board of Education starts with a "commitment to excellent performance" We are steadfast in our dedication to securing our children's right to learn in a safe environment. Entrusted with protecting our children's future, our mission demands that each member of the Security Department embrace integrity at all times. We will further develop the school law enforcement skills of a competent, diligent and highly-trained staff that works together and practices a proactive risk management approach throughout the department in a professional, yet personable manner.
