School Information Cards

Dear Parents,

Families can make the best choices for their children when they have all the available information.
That is why we have worked hard, in consultation with hundreds of parents and community members, to develop School Information Cards for every public school in Camden – including our District schools, renaissance schools, and charter schools.

Last year in the Camden Commitment I promised to provide an information card for every public school in the City. The individual cards are available on the schools' websites, and the Family School Guide, the High School Guide, and all participating schools' results are available through the links to the left. The cards were designed to give students, families, community members, educators, and administrators clear, apples-to-apples information about each of the public school options available in the city of Camden. With greater supports for all of our schools, having clear information is more important than ever.

The School Information Cards were designed based on feedback from the community. In our Let’s Talk About Great Schools campaign, we hit the streets and classrooms to ask parents, educators, and students what kinds of information they want to know about Camden’s public schools. We received over 475 responses through online and in-person surveys, and received helpful input during six community focus groups. One thing we heard clearly is that no one thing makes a school great. A great school is made up of great teaching and learning, well-prepared students, a safe and supportive school environment, and much more. I hope you see this feedback reflected in the School Information Cards.

Once the cards were developed, we took them back to the community to make sure the final design was as user-friendly as possible. Finally, the cards were integrated into this family school guide, a central source of information designed to help families learn more about Camden City family school options. There is information here to help you navigate the guide, and understand the information included on each school’s card.

If you have questions about the School Information Cards, or would like to share feedback on how we can improve them for next year, please email communications@camden.k12.nj.us. For any enrollment-related questions, please contact the Enrollment Office at enrollment@camden.k12.nj.us. If you would like to see all of the data for the School Information Cards, you can view the full dataset for the cards.

We welcome the opportunity to continue to work with you to make the School Information Cards a useful tool for you.

Sincerely,
Paymon Rouhanifard
